What equipment does ADT monitoring use?
Digital keypad
Maintain control of your security system with the digital keypad. The easy-to-use design lets you arm and disarm your system, adjust settings, access dispatchers and more.
Entryway contacts
Monitor your home’s doors and window with door and window contacts. If your system is armed and someone tries to force their way into your home, the entryway sensors will send a signal to your keypad, instantly activating the high-decibel alarm.
Motion detector
Get extra protection for a foyer, hallway or room filled with valuables. The ADT-monitored motion detector’s infrared technology can detect when someone enters a protected area of your home. It features a pet-friendly design to reduce the risk of your animal companions triggering false alarms.
Backup battery
Thanks to the backup battery, losing power doesn’t have to mean losing your sense of protection. The device will automatically switch on in the event of a power outage and give you up to 12 hours of monitoring coverage so you can rest easy.
Wireless keychain remote
With the wireless keychain remote, you can arm your system, disarm your system or sound your system alarm anywhere within 75 feet of your digital keypad.

Can I use ADT-monitored equipment without a monitoring service?
All previously-installed ADT equipment requires the purchase or reactivation of a monitoring service. If you moved into a home with ADT-monitored equipment installed, you’re already halfway to a more secure home. Just contact ADT to activate your equipment.

ADT-monitored equipment is designed to be sleek and unobtrusive. Slim sensors and motion detectors will blend into your home decor, but they use cutting-edge technology to help keep your home secure.
What if my equipment is damaged?
For a few extra dollars per month, ADT offers an Extended Limited Warranty on equipment with the Quality Service Plan (QSP). To request the QSP, contact one of our professionals.
